PAS 43 is a UK standard (Publicly Available Specification) by the British Standards Institution (BSI) for the safe management of vehicle breakdown and recovery operations, aiming to protect workers, customers, and the public by setting requirements for equipment, training, procedures, and safety marking. It's a benchmark for the industry, often used with ISO 9001, and recognized by the HSE, courts, and purchasers of roadside assistance as a mark of quality and due diligence in roadside safety.

Our drivers are trained by the IVR (Institute of Vehicle Recovery). Good quality health and safety training is an asset. Training developed within the NHSS17/17B National Roadside/Recovery Training Scheme can protect customers, the public and employees by allowing staff to conduct tasks in a safer manner and it reduces the potential for damage.

Our vehicles are tracked from our control centre, we are able to see speed and direction in real time, improving safety and security, and helping us to improve service by helping us to keep an eye on our ETA's from 1 job to the next.

We have cover for our specialist recovery vehicles, loading and unloading of vehicles, and vehicles in transit,
Commercial combined cover for our premises and vehicles in storage

A DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service check) is a UK criminal record check that helps employers, especially those working with children or vulnerable adults, make safer hiring decisions by revealing an individual's convictions, cautions, and other relevant police information.

Regular maintenance involves mandatory daily driver checks (lights, tyres, brakes, fluid levels, mirrors) and periodic, legally required inspections (often 6-weekly) for deeper checks on chassis, suspension, steering, and engine, plus scheduled oil/filter changes, ensuring roadworthiness, compliance, reliability, and a safer, efficient operation.
Both are MOT'd, inspected & brake tested regularly and both trucks & their equipment are Loler tested annually.
